My daughter Harper has had the privilege to learn under the direction of Amber Bird for several years now. Amber is a fantastic director with a true gift for helping kids uncover their talents and find their passion. She has fostered in them a love for theater and more importantly, a true desire to serve others. It brings me such joy to see my daughter learn to use her talents as an actress and singer to serve God and share the Gospel in a unique way. It’s refreshing to be a part of something that provides wholesome entertainment, safe for the entire family. The acting experiences Harper has had with Amber have had such a positive impact in her life. These productions have helped her to grow as an actress, but it’s so much more than just theater. I’ve watched her confidence increase, her love for the Lord deepen, and her desire to serve others strengthened. I count Amber and her team as a true blessing to our community!

Since 2020 beacon has changed my life. I lacked confidence in my acting ability but once Amber took the chance on me as the poultry person in A Christmas Carol-ish it started to help show me my true ability. If it wasn’t for her I would have never discovered my ability in the makeup world. This group was just the beginning of my accomplishments and if it wasn’t for that small chance I took, I wouldn’t have become the man I am today. Amber is hands down the best director I’ve ever had. She’s helped me find jobs and classes in this industry and has helped teach me skills to succeed as a person, as well as in the entertainment industry. My advice to people in this group: build connections and take those risks if you’re interested in something. This group has been more of a family to me than an organization. This group has taught me the biggest lesson, which is, all roles are "big" regardless of the number of lines or screen time, because that one character with 5 seconds of time might be the one that sticks with people and you forever!

Thank you for choosing me as a choreographer, a scared 14 year old who came into this having no clue what she was doing! But you still chose me! Thank you for always having faith in me even when I didn't have faith in myself! You will always be one of my biggest role models! You have helped me out so much! I can't even put into words how much I have grown just by being in your presence! At this point you're basically my 2nd mom and I love that I get to call you that! Thank you for everything! I wouldn't where I am today if it wasn't for you! Thank you for everything! I am looking forward to so many more adventures with you! I love you so so much always and forever!
